The MuscleBuddy Android app includes Capacitor Updater, which delivers over-the-air updates to the app. It is licensed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. You can obtain its complete Source Code Form from the project repository linked here, at no charge beyond the cost of distribution. Our own application code is not covered by that licence and is not made available under it; the MPL covers this component and any modifications we make to its own files.

Why this page exists

Some of the components inside the MuscleBuddy apps and web app are open source, and their licenses ask us to tell you so. The Apache License, the MIT License and the BSD License ask that a copy of the license, and for MIT and BSD the copyright notice, accompany the app; the lists of components in the iOS and Android apps and in the web app do that. The Mozilla Public License 2.0 asks for more: where we distribute an app containing a component under that license, you are entitled to the source code of that component, and this page is where we point you to it.

This obligation is about the components listed here, not about MuscleBuddy itself. Our own application code stays proprietary and is not offered under any of these licenses.

Getting the source code

Every entry above links the project repository the component is published from, which is where its complete Source Code Form is available at no charge. If a repository has moved or a link no longer resolves, write to garrett@garrettmakesit.com and we will send you the source for the exact version shipped in the release you have, at no more than the cost of distribution.

Keeping this page honest

This list is not maintained by hand against memory. It is generated from the dependencies the web, iOS and Android apps are built from, and the build fails when a dependency is added or upgraded without the list being regenerated, when a license has not been reviewed, or when a copyleft component has no notice above.
