Your data
Delete your MuscleBuddy account
MuscleBuddy is operated by Garrett Makes It, LLC. This page explains how to delete your account and the data attached to it, on the web or in the Android app. Retention details last updated: September 14, 2026.
If you can sign in
Go to Settings → Privacy & data → Delete my account. You will be asked to type your email to confirm. The deletion starts immediately; nothing else is needed from you, and you do not have to contact us first.
If you cannot sign in
Email garrett@garrettmakesit.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will respond within the timeframe the law where you live requires.
What is deleted
Your account and profile, your training history and programs, your nutrition and food logs, your health data (bloodwork, vitals, medications, supplements, compounds and hormone protocols, appointments, and questionnaire responses), your genetic results, your videos and photos, your social posts and messages, and your coaching relationships.
Live data is removed or de-identified within 30 days of closure. Backups already holding a copy are purged on a rolling cycle, also within 30 days.
What is kept, and why
A small amount of data outlives the account because the law or a duty to someone else requires it.
Billing and transaction records are kept for 7 years, to meet U.S. tax, accounting and audit obligations. Security audit logs of coach, admin and billing actions are kept for 2 years, for security and fraud prevention.
Email suppression records are kept for 3 years if your address ever bounced or reported one of our messages as spam. This one deliberately survives closure: deleting it would start mail flowing again to a mailbox that had already told us to stop.
Data that has been de-identified or aggregated, and can no longer be linked to you, may be kept indefinitely. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy, under “Data retention”.
Deleting only your health data
You can delete your health data without closing your account, from Settings → Privacy & data. Withdrawing health-data consent stops new collection but does not remove what you already recorded, so the two are separate actions.
Ready to delete your account?
Signed-in members can do it themselves in seconds. If you have lost access to the account, email us and we will handle it.
