Switch without starting over

Switch from Apple Health without losing your history

Bring bodyweight, HRV, resting heart rate and sleep off your iPhone.

How to export from Apple Health

  1. Open the Health app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top right corner.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Export All Health Data", then confirm.
  4. The phone takes a few minutes to build the archive. Save export.zip to Files, then upload it here.
  • The archive can be large if you have years of Apple Watch data. Upload it over Wi-Fi.
  • Apple Health is the only way to get iPhone health data into a web app, because a browser cannot read HealthKit directly.

What comes across

• Bodyweight readings

• Heart rate variability and resting heart rate

• Sleep, including stages where your device recorded them

• Recorded workouts

What your export cannot carry

• Apple Health records the same reading more than once when several apps or devices wrote it. Duplicates are collapsed rather than counted twice.

• Imported HRV and resting heart rate show up in your recovery chart. They do not feed your health rank, which stays earned.

Every one of these is a property of the export file itself, not a guess. Anything the file does not contain is reported to you in the preview rather than filled in.

What imported data counts for

Your history, personal records, charts and analytics come with you. Ranks, XP and achievements are earned here, so imported sessions never move them.

That line is the whole deal, and it is deliberate. A rank anyone can produce with a spreadsheet is worth nothing, so ranks, XP, achievements, streaks and leaderboards are driven only by what you log here. Everything that describes your training rather than scoring it, which is your history, your personal records, your charts and your analytics, uses your imported data from day one.

How the import works

Upload an export.zip archive and nothing is written yet. You get a preview first: how many rows of each kind, the date range they cover, which names matched automatically, and which need a decision from you.

When you approve it, the rows are written and stamped as part of that import. If a day already has an entry you made yourself, your own entry wins and the imported row is skipped, and the skip is counted and shown rather than quietly dropped.

Changed your mind? One button removes every row that import created and leaves everything else alone. You can upload the same file again months later too. Rows that already exist are skipped instead of duplicated, so you only ever gain what is new.

Your file, and how long we keep it

The uploaded file is stored privately for a short retention window so an import can be retried, then deleted. Undo keeps working after that, because it is keyed to the import rather than the file. Your account holds the data, and you can export it or delete your account at any time.

Frequently asked

My export is hundreds of megabytes. Is that a problem?
Large exports are normal after a few years with an Apple Watch. There is an upload size limit and the wizard tells you the number up front rather than quietly truncating a file that is over it.
Does this replace a wearable connection?
No. An export is a one-off snapshot of what your phone had at that moment. Connecting a device keeps syncing going forward.
Can I undo an import?
Yes. Every row an import writes is stamped with that import, so one button removes all of it and leaves anything you logged yourself untouched. You can also upload the same file again later. Rows that already exist are skipped rather than duplicated.
